CORE Leadership Summit 2010 Registration Now Open! - New!

CORE's two-day Leadership Summit is the perfect opportunity to interact with prominent national literacy, English-language learner, special education, and math researchers; specialists in Response to Intervention (RtI); inspirational speakers; and successful practitioners from around the nation. CORE's speakers always reflect current research.

This year's theme, "Investing in Academic Excellence," addresses the need for educators and administrators to renew their commitment to investing in student success. CORE Develops New Intensive Intervention Professional Development Suite - New!

The California State Board of Education approved CORE's submissions of Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt's Portals and Scholastic's READ 180 Intensive Intervention professional development SB 472 Workshops. The trainings are now in compliance with Senate Bill 472 Reading Professional Development Program.

In and beyond California: To further accelerate your implementation of all intensive intervention programs, CORE is pleased to announce a new series of one to three-day professional development workshops for teachers and administrators.

CORE to Offer Online Professional Learning Resources - New!

In an ongoing effort to build continuous professional development among school district administrators, coaches, and teachers, the Consortium on Reading Excellence (CORE) is pleased to announce a partnership with Teachscape, the leader in online professional learning. Together with intensive professional development, on-site support for reading and math, and Teachscape's online resources, CORE will be able to deliver a 24/7 professional development program for literacy and math educators that will provide curriculum support to maximize student achievement. Teachers will be able to study material at their convenience and review the information as many times as necessary to perfect skills on a topic or concept.
