Following the five-day intensive training course, your literacy “Experts-in-Training” will be mentored and supported as they lead literacy improvement focused on program implementation in your schools. CORE national leaders will spend six days providing direct support at a central location in your district over the course of the year, two days at a time: fall, winter, and spring. During these visits, in addition to focused support of CORE U participants, the CORE consultant will facilitate collaborative work sessions with district and building leadership focused on solutions to implementation challenges. As CORE U participants, your “Experts-in-Training” will have ongoing access to multiple online resources, events, and their professional learning network peers. For districts training more than five participants in an in-district or state model, the number of total on-site apprenticeship days will be adjusted.
