Intensive Intervention Professional Development
CORE's Intensive Intervention workshops and site support ensure mastery of your intensive intervention curriculum to maximize student learning. These one- to five-day options are designed to fit your professional development needs.
Professional Development Options
Option 1: Initial Program Implementation Workshop (1 Day)
Participants will learn:
- Program pacing and daily instructional sequence
- Lesson components, objectives, and key routines
- Placement, progress monitoring, and ongoing assessment
- Strategies for effective engagement, planning, and differentiation
Option 2: Targeted Program Implementation Workshop (2 Days)
Participants will learn, practice, refine, and plan:
- Best practices to maximize daily instruction
- Presenting and meeting lesson objectives
- Utilizing key routines and instructional strategies
- Effective progress monitoring to increase targeted instruction
- Planning and management of differentiated instruction
- Setting and reaching accelerated intervention goals
Option 3: Accelerate Full Program Implementation Institute (5 Days)
Participants will learn, practice, refine, plan, and return to the classroom prepared, energized, and ready to fully implement:
- High-quality daily instruction using key routines and strategies
- Deep understanding of the sequence and progression of each instructional component
- Techniques to maximize assessments and data to plan and implement needs-based, differentiated instruction for all learners
- Best practices to effectively meet the needs of English learners and students who continue to strive
Audience: All educators involved in teaching or implementing intensive intervention programs. The audience can include teachers, administrators, and teacher leaders.
Location: On-site at a district location with two options: event for district-only participants or district-hosted regional event.

To ensure full and complete implementation, CORE provides highly skilled program specialists to work directly in your schools with your principals, literacy coaches, department heads, and teachers to provide refined program practice, model lessons, and targeted coaching, all guided by facilitated data analysis.
